We had a great Thanksgiving with KJ's family this year! I did terrible taking pictures, but i did get these few "attempts" of the stiles cousins :)

Happy Halloween

We had a really fun halloween this year with Layla. She really liked wearing her costume and liked seeing everyone else dressed up too :) We did trunk or treat at church, then went trick or treating with the cousins!

14 months

Layla has started to say words this month! So far, she can say, mama, dada, duck, bo (papa and kaki's dog), ball, papa, and something like layla more like yaya :) She still does signs for eat, more, all done, and diaper. We have been so busy this month. Layla took her first trip to the zoo which she loved, especially the petting zoo. We also went to gentry farm on Sunday to see more animals and she even got her own little baby pumpkin to bring home!

A little late...13 months!

Well, I am definitely very late making a 13 month post for Layla! I still intend to update every month, and i would like to do more than that but i don't really see that happening :) We'll see! Here is what Layla is doing at 13 months:

Walking everywhere!
jabbering all the time but only new "real" word is "uh oh"
she has become a little picky with eating and also very messy, she throws everything on the floor when she is done ! :(
she likes going to class at church and has been staying through the sermon and doing well
still sleeping great, she sleeps 12-13 hours at night and takes 1, 2-3 hour nap
Her absolute favorite thing, besides mommy and daddy :), is dogs! She loves them all and is not scared 0f a single one!
she has learned to flush the toilet, throw her diapers away, and "clean up" if she really wants to!

Layla's birthday party

I know i am so late on posting this but we have been a little busy since Layla's party! We had her birthday at Papa and Kaki's house last saturday night. I think Layla had a lot of fun!! She got so many fun toys! She was not crazy about the cake at all, but i guess that is good :)

Layla is 1 !!

Layla is 1!!! I can't believe how fast it has gone by!! Layla has had a great 1st year and I'm so glad I have gotten to be home with her to see all of her milestones! Monday was her actual birthday but we are not having her party until this weekend. We did a small birthday surprise yesterday but there will be many more pics later! Here are a few pics and her stats for 12 months:

4th of July

We spent the 4th at the farm with Papa and Kaki and the Hollands. We cooked a really good breakfast and grilled out for dinner. Layla loved riding around on the mule with all the kids!

11 months and week in Arkansas

I can't believe we are already at 11 months!! Layla is almost one! She has been learning so much lately. She is really enjoying the summer and all the things she can do outside. We have been swimming a lot and playing outside. We just got back from Arkansas yesterday to visit my parents. We had a really good time! We went to the lake one day and went out on my Aunts boat. Layla loved the boat and the water. As of right now, she is not scared of water at all! We got to visit with some of our friends and see some family. I was so glad we got to see baby Sophia, my cousins little girl, finally! Here is what Layla is doing at 11months:

10 months

Layla has changed a lot this past month! She is doing so much more now and has endless energy! She is such a happy girl almost all the time. We have really been enjoying the warm weather. We have been swimming and playing outside a lot! Here is what she is doing at 10 months:

getting into anything she can, cabinets, drawers, etc...

says mama, dada, and baba, and loves to just yell!

loves food, all of her baby food plus bread, waffles, mac and cheese

loves any kind of water, bath and pool

takes 2 hour and a half naps most days, and sleeps for about 12 hours at night

she is a very social baby and loves for people to talk and play with her

10 months old!

Little Layla :)

Layla turned 9 months last Sunday! We just had her 9 months checkup yesterday. She is 14 lbs. 11oz., which is 0%! She is 26 1/2 in. long, 15%, and her head was about 17 in. which is around 20%. The title of this blog says it, she is little! Still no worries from Dr. Leeper though, she has set into a stair step pattern as he calls it, which means she should be bigger at 12 months but then probably won't get much bigger for another 6 months. She can start having meat now which we tried last night and she loved it. So far she has liked every type of food we have given her! Here is what she's doing at 9 months:

pulling up all the time, she loves to stand

crawling on hands and knees

saying different consonant sounds, mmm mostly

loves to go places and see people but hates the car

loves to play with her toys and watch baby einstein

she is starting to become a lot more comfortable with other people

loves puffs and drinking water or juice out of her sippy cup

Easter

We had a great Easter weekend! My parents came in Friday afternoon and drove through tornadoes and storms almost the whole way! Thankfully it turned out pretty Saturday and Sunday. We went to see the Easter bunny at the mall on Saturday and Layla really like him. Net and Bubby brought Layla an Easter basket and some cute outfits! My parents also brough Chopper with them which Layla loved! She loves all dogs right now which i hope will last! Layla also learned to sit up from laying down. I went in her room Saturday night to check on her and she was sitting up in her bed! Thanks mom and dad for coming to spend the weekend with us, we had lots of fun!!
