6 month checkup

We finally had Layla's 6 month checkup today. She is almost 7 months now but we have gotten behind on shots b/c she was sick the first time. I think we are back on track now though since there are no shots at 9 months! Woohoo! Here are her stats:
weight- 14lbs. 10oz. (12%)

Height- 25.75 in. (25%)

Head- 16.6 in. (25%)

She is still little, and i think i can quit saying that, haha:) Dr. Leaper said she is now on her track, she is growing at the right rate and will probably stay in these percentages. She is definitely eating well,she's very healthy, and very happy! He gave us the go ahead to start baby food so we started tonight! She has really been eyeing our food lately, and when i say eyeing i mean grabbing it and sticking her hands in it as quickly as she can! So i was very excited for her to get to have her own food now. She had sweet potatoes and i think she liked them but she didn't eat very much, it was pretty uneventful! We also got her 6 month pics done last week so here's a few of those too.

Happy Valentines's Day!

Well i don't really have much to write except to explain the pictures. KJ and I went to Sperry's to eat dinner, then went to Krispy Kreme to get a heart shaped donut:) My idea of course! KJ got me some beautiful roses. Layla enjoyed spending some time with Kaki and Papa while we went out!

6 months old!

Happy 1/2 birthday Layla! 6 months have flown by! We haven't had Layla's 6 month appointment yet but we actually went to the doctor on monday because I thought she had an ear infection. She didn't which is good, just a cold, and teething. I feel like the teething will never end!! Anyway, she had lost a few ounces b/c she was sick but previously she was at 13 lbs. 5 oz. and 25 1/4 in. so we will see when we go back if she has grown and hopefully she has! She is still a happy baby most of the time :)
At 6 months she is:
sitting up really well with support
rolling everywhere
loves her cereal, but haven't tried anything else yet
loves to go places
she has finally started taking at least one 2 hour nap a day, as long as we are home ;)
scrunches herself up like she is going to crawl but not doing that yet
chews and sucks on EVERYTHING!
We haven't had much going on since Christmas. Just staying out of the cold. I am definitely ready for Spring! Layla loves going for walks in her stroller and we haven't been able to do that much lately. Thats about it for now but i will leave you with some pics! :)
