Since I am starting this new blog, i thought the best way to start it would be with our new baby! Layla Caroline was born on August 3, at 4:44 p.m. She weighed 8 lbs. 3 1/4 oz. and was 20 inches long. I know all new parents say this but we are truly amazed by her! She is the best gift in the world!

of course she is the prettiest one! i just spent 30 min on the phone w/ Dorrie, she says congratulations and she can't wait to see yall. i hope you had a good 1st night at home, she should have been fine, since she was used to it already...& probably did a lot better w/ some quiet time w/ mom & dad. we love yall so much, nett
